Cristal 113 is an alumina/silica modified rutile pigment, produced by the chloride process. The pigment has ben designed for use in highly loaded flat and semi-gloss finishes, both water and solvent based. The product offers exceptional hiding power when dry compared with traditional multi-purpose grades and can offer improved performance when formulated correctly.
Cristal 113 exhibits excellent brightness, high tint strength and an exceptionally clean tint tone as well as an outstanding dry hiding potential. Wet hiding of the product is equivalent to the multi-purpose grades used in the same applications. With a higher than average TiO2 content for pigment in its class, it also exhibits a lower level of porosity than conventional pigments, leading to improved wash and scrub resistance.
Cristal 113 is also recommended for use in high hiding low gloss water based flexographic inks where the exceptional coverage provided by the pigment is of benefit. The grade also finds some use in textiles and paper where a rutile grade is desirable.

Generally handle in area of good ventilation. If airborne dust in over or thought to approach the occupational exposure standard, local exhaust may be necessary.
Use approved dust respirator if OES is likely to be exceeded.
Use gloves for prolonged ／repeated contact.
Use safety glasses / goggles.
Wear normal protective overalls. Sensitive skin can be protected further by use of a barrier cream or moisturizer.

No known harmful effects on Goldorfen (Leuciscus Idus) with 1 g/litre concentration (Maximum testing). Water flea (Daphnia Magna) with 1 g/litre concentration (No aquatic Toxicity). Available evidence suggests that titanium dioxide does not cause any significant adverse environmental effects.
This product does not constitute any known hazard for disposal into sanitary landfill or industrial waste didposal landfill. Attention should however be paid to local and nation waste regulations.
This material is not classified as a dangerous good by international transport regulations.
No Hazard Labelling is required for this Produce. This product is given an OES under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations, as per the Health and Safety Executive in the United Kingdom.
